Anonymous asked: Fantastic pics, especially of the old grainery building in Riverdale, IL. I spent many hours exploring those and other abandoned buildings as a kid growing up in Riverdale in the 1970's. Amazingly, they haven't changed much! You have a great eye for photography and I like that your photos are not altered. Keep up the good work! Robert Powell - Eau Claire, WI.
Thank you, very much!

I guess I should do something.
“Have you ever uploaded a photo to Facebook, Instagram or Flickr? If so, you’ll probably want to read this, because the rules on who can exploit your work have now changed radically, overnight.”
Anonymous asked: Howdy Paul. Thank You for posting Beautiful Disaster. I explored Hales & Hunter from March 1975 till 1978. Found several blueprints in the office. Wish I'd brought them with me when I moved to Florida in 1984, so I could share them with urban explorers. Glad to see the grainery is'nt a complete wreck. I explored the Northern-most cupola building mostly. I follow Substreet on facebook. Enjoyed your pictures immensely and am glad you made it safely to terra firma. Ray
Holy crap that’s awesome, I would have loved to see the blueprints of that place! I don’t think the offices are even there anymore, though. Seems like a small part of it collapsed a while ago. It isn’t a complete wreck yet, but it’s rapidly headed in that direction. Thanks for the compliments! It means a lot and it’s always nice to talk to another urban explorer.
